History

Radhanagar Majumdar Academy School and College is one of the oldest and most prestigious educational institutions in the Pabna district. It is located within the campus of Pabna Edward College. The institution was established with financial support from the Majumdar family, the then zamindars of Radhanagar. Around 1870-71, the late Daroganath Majumdar founded this school for the education of underprivileged students. In 1899, to keep pace with the contemporary education system, the institution was transformed into a fee-paying high English school known as Radhanagar Majumdar Academy, or R.M. Academy, under the leadership of Daroganath Majumdar. The school features a medium-sized playground and three large buildings. Regular assemblies are held on the playground, and the students engage in various sports activities there. A Shaheed Minar is located on one side of the field. The three buildings of the school are known as the Vocational Building, Academic Building, and Science Building, respectively. Additionally, the school has an auditorium, a hostel, and a mosque situated in front of the school. There is also a computer lab, a permanent multimedia classroom, and five separate labs for mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and agricultural studies. The school also has a large library. Education is provided from the third to the tenth grade in this institution.
